[ To be honest, he couldn't fathom why in all the world his son would give him this. A set of horrible books, with bad writing, and even worse characters. The only thing he'd hated more was how flat and boring the main character/narrator was.
Oh, and their depiction of vampires.
That sucked, too.
But then he'd started reading them. And-- could it be?
No, wait! He had to resist. Had to be strong. He had to keep from falling under its wicked spell!
EDWARD, HOW COULD YOU LEAVE BELLA LIKE THAT?!
What a...strong, poignant story! He'd plowed through them in a couple of days. The main character's pain and anguish at how often her boyfriend denied her!
WHY DID THAT SOUND FAMILIAR.
And yeah, okay. The novels really were garbage. But there was one thing... One part that stood out to him.
God have mercy on Cherry if he decided to come speak to him now. ]
